@AndrewRyanH ESPN has him as RB7 and PFF has him as RB11 for the 24 season so I don’t think it’s a hot take that the NCAA cover feels like a reach. I just would have gone with a different UM player. I think he can be great if he looks like he did in 22 but it’ll be tough with the OL losses.

@AndrewRyanH His YPC was a career worst 4.2 behind a great OL 🤷🏻‍♂️ He did go off in the Natty and was great in 2022 but IMO there’s stronger cover candidates. In an NFL draft I’d take Johnson, Graham, Grant, and Loveland easily over Edwards. He would be in contention for 5th with a few others

@AndrewRyanH Edwards is good but his stats aren’t worthy of an NCAA cover athlete IMO. He’s not considered a preseason top 5 RB in the country and he’s arguably not even a top 5 player on Michigan’s team this year. Give me Johnson or Graham as UM’s rep

@Andrew_Russell7 I think for a WR there’s more info you can get for their speed/agility in game tape since they’re in space as opposed to an OL in the trenches. Like Marv being clocked at 22 MPH in a game would ease speed concerns for me despite him not testing

@kgrennan @Andrew_Russell7 I agree he’s eventually become a good blocking TE but was at least a one or two round reach IMO and has performed what you’d expect out of an early day 3 pick like he was projected to be. Solid player but the Bengals had no business spending a 2nd for him

@AndrewRyanH The NCAA has launched an investigation which is a step to potential allegations and they felt like there’s enough smoke to this to warn opponents during the investigation. FBI is handling the Weiss stuff which we know little about. I’m in wait and see mode the rumors are wild now

@AndrewRyanH Good point this is at MSU so I’d think it’d have decent security. It’s odd that CMU doesn’t know who this is if it’s someone from their staff but with this and a lot of these accusations it’s interesting to see what the burden of proof is against UM
