My problem is yours and his logic is brain dead. It would be like complaining that your dinner came with free dessert for filling out a survey.

Every new game that releases on steam requires you to hit install and then play once it’s done downloading, that’s it.

What you’re bitching about is having the freedom to download older incompatible games or emulate games that new consoles can’t play just because it takes a 5-10 minute YouTube video.

Just don’t tell the world your thoughts as often, you will likely get further in life that way instead of constantly spewing your mentally deficient takes.
