@FoodProfessor Thank you! Somebody has to do it. A detective once told me, "there's always more to the story than you hear in the news or in a courtroom". He was talking about crime but I've come to believe it applies to a lot more these days.
@mattvanswol After covering enough crime over the years, I've learned man's inhumanity to man knows no bounds. In cases like this, the death penalty is necessary and faith in the system dies as well.
@Kelsisheren How often might this be happening? We need to know. We're told MAID is a regulated healthcare service overseen by "qualified medical practitioners or nurse practitioners". It's supposed to be subject to strict eligibility criteria & legal safeguards to ensure informed consent.
@LarryBrockMP You left out taxes. The Canadian government relies more heavily on personal income taxes than any other G7 nation. Then there's payroll & health taxes; GST/HST/PST, property taxes, fuel, carbon and excise taxes on alcohol and tobacco.
@mario4thenorth This is what reporters are supposed to do: hold those in power accountable? Odd none of the reporters followed up. It's a question that affects Canadians and the economy.
@tyken_mccalson Thank you. It took a lot of digging and connecting of dots. It was exposing and revisiting the original pedophile island in Lake Michigan that still haunts me - different millionaire, same plan. You can stream the doc series on Hulu, Disney+, Youtube.
Why have cops not released the name of the shooter outside a Montreal hotel yesterday? A witness describes him as young, white, with long straw-colored hair, wearing military fatigues. Three cops murdered in the line of duty in the first 3-weeks of June in Canada. Scary times!
@AndrewLawton@PierrePoilievre No tax on used cars? Sounds like a sensible idea. I wonder if liberals will steal it? Wouldn't it be lovely if the Liberals let Canadians keep a few of their hard earned dollars?
@mario4thenorth Getting someone to go on-camera is key to any documentary. It takes a lot of back and forth and trust. Misrepresenting your intentions opens the production to legal, financial & professional consequences. And people may be more cautious about participating in the future.
@AndrewLawton How does this happen? When I work on a doc series, the production company must document sources through lawyers and insurers to make sure everything we say can be corroborated. It's rigorous but worth it because you know you have done due diligence.
