If Mills does go for a hefty fee, can it be used to get the embargo lifted?
If so I’m not against the sale because we all expected him to go and in a sense, the embargo helps because Oxford would not be able to sell without a decent fee due to limitations
It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of 15-year-old Academy player, Amelia Aplin.
Amelia collapsed during a Girls’ Academy game against Fulham at the Club’s Training Centre in Horspath yesterday afternoon.
The thoughts and sincere condolences from everyone at Oxford United are with Amelia’s family, friends, teammates and coaches.
We would like to place on record our appreciation for the efforts of the medical staff at both Oxford United and Fulham Football Club, along with the emergency services.
The Club will offer support to Amelia’s family, players, coaches and staff impacted by this tragic event.
We would ask that the family’s privacy is respected at this incredibly difficult time.
We need to bring in a manager who can give us our identity back. Someone who can give us a decent farewell tour of the championship and then build on for a league one campaign.
Blood some of the youth team, get minutes to players who we can get offers for in the summer. #OUFC
14th August 2026, the stadium is underway, OUFC have had a summer clear out and strengthened the squad.
We have a manager who “gets us”, who understands the fans and we kick off the 2026-2027 league one season and hopefully, we are excited for the football again #OUFC
@acsmythe Haha I forgot about Tiger!
It’s just been nice because previously we get fed so many rumours by people “ITK” & “someone in the club” and there hasn’t been that
One thing I’ve loved from this transfer window for #OUFC has been the complete lack of speculation from the club. All rumours have been generated by the other clubs and Oxford have just ploughed on & got their business done.
Been a great window for signings and 🤞not done yet!
No “transfer window is shut” tweet from the club yet.
I reckon there are a few more transfers to be completed. Clubs get an extra 2 hours of deal sheets are submitted 👀

Oxford United are delighted that our planning application for a new 16,000 capacity stadium on land north of the city has been approved by Cherwell District Council.
Little victories, but @IanMiddletonX partner has just been outed on @TheOxfordMail forums as posting under many different pseudonyms because their USER ID is the same in each case. Cracking detective work but shows underhanded activity by a Cllr. @Cherwellcouncil@OxfordClarion
Cllr Andrew Gant — who’s backed the closure of countless roads across East Oxford — is now objecting to the stadium over a temporary 35-minute diversion… near his own home.
The hypocrisy writes itself
#oufc
What a joke! After all he’s done for the club in the last year we don’t give him a chance to turn the bad run around?
Who realistically is available to replace him?
Shit idea by the board
Oxford United can confirm that Des Buckingham has left his role as Men’s First Team Head Coach.
The Club would like to place on record its thanks to Des for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him well for the future.
