@johnwtomac There’s still a mind set among some, that making it in the big city is a young journalist or artist is a right-of-passage, but the reality is that there’s been MASSIVE INFLATION in housing and Education. Even in the last 5yr, let alone 30yrs. The wages must go up.

@johnwtomac When I was at Esquire there was a junior designer who did a TON of work. She was getting 35k/year, The Creative Director didn't even know, and was disgusted when they found out but couldn't do much. His advice to her was to leave. I'm glad there's a union at the NYKR to fight.
