@RebeccaSolnit Exactly. This is the project that opened my eyes to this problem back when I was the hydraulic engineer modeling breaches for the Army Corps levee improvement project (early 2010s). Been advocating for equity-weighted BCA ever since.

@RebeccaSolnit Major spending on adaptation still relies on a traditional benefit-cost analysis approach that exacerbates inequities (protecting richer communities generates more "benefits" than protecting poorer communities). Alternative approaches (equity-weighted BCA) missing a spotlight.

@modacitylife It is also great how 'construction work' on these streets often involves a small crew with rubber mallets and hand tools compared to jackhammers and heavy equipment. Makes for a much better soundscape in city areas.
