@myNAVblog@freddydk@pborringms@waldo1001@BC_ALOps But I wanted to make the point of how it isn't a simple decision. There are too many external factors in implementing for an organisation that already has a sizable customer base, with a team that's big enough to require properly organised training and education.
@myNAVblog@freddydk@pborringms@waldo1001@BC_ALOps Oh I'm not against the principle. It is something we've done in specific cases and have a few resources with the skill set to do so.
My point isn't to argue against not doing it. I'm not a luddite! The plan is to move that way.
@freddydk@myNAVblog@pborringms@waldo1001 Yes - I was quite excited about al-go, until I got to the point of reading it was github only.
Our organisation is well entrenched in devops, because we started down that path well before MS bought github. Also, AFAIK we don't get IUR for github but do for devops.
@myNAVblog@pborringms@waldo1001@freddydk We have small teams working on a few projects at any one time. If I were implementing an isv solution I'd think it was mad to not use ci/cd. But as a partner focusing on custom implementations, its hard to justify the time and effort and upheaval imo
@myNAVblog@pborringms@waldo1001@freddydk which is bc focused) are already using devops. The cost to move away from that is also high on top of implementing ci/cd.
I'm open to being convinced otherwise, but right now as a customer implementation partner I see it as a high investment for a low benefit.
@MeFriis @MSDYN365BC If the two companies are different types of businesses, or one a group company aggregating the Coa for multiple businesses, I'd want to see different key data in those companies. The different roles would allow me to do that

@JeremyVyska @jamtpearson Come on Jeremy, we all know it's better to be 2 or 3 versions behind and never ever risk any form of outage because you employ a team of 6 high end, highly paid, sys admins instead! π€‘
