Hey kids! Have you heard of “beneficial electrification”? It’s the idea that using more electricity (and less fossil fuels naturally) can in some cases maximize the use of our existing electric grid, spreading costs more broadly, and actually lowering rates!

@EfficiencyMaine If you go beyond just rates, the plan includes between $135 and $209 million per year in investments from both @EfficiencyMaine & program participants (for example, homeowners using a heat pump incentive, but also paying a share themselves).
