During a safari trip, a baby elephant (only a few months old) was extremely curious and stubborn, repeatedly using its trunk to touch, explore, and even trying to climb into a tourist bus 💖

The mother elephant became very worried. She used her trunk to pull her baby back several times, gently pushed it away, and tried to guide it somewhere else. But the little elephant refused to listen, clinging to the vehicle like it was a “brand-new toy.”

Eventually, the mother elephant had to use the trick of “pretending to walk away” so that the baby would follow her back. Before the whole herd left, she even waved her trunk as if saying, “Sorry, my baby is being a little too mischievous.” 🐘💗

Martin Miller spent the evening with Lucille at The City of Mobile Animal Services, and this poor girl’s story is heartbreaking. 💔

The scar around her neck shows she has likely spent much of her life chained, and her skin is still healing from neglect. Thankfully, it is non-contagious.

Lucille has no interest in treats. She just wants company, comfort, and kindness. She is 2 years old, 45 pounds, and great with other animals and people.
