@EddyWax Many super good learnings in the article. I've never seen 'triologue' in the wild, but the number of people claiming to be EU policy experts and writing 'trialogue' has always blown my mind
@ChelseaFC Zola would do well to distance himself from those in charge of this once great club. These people are guilt tripping the fanbase into supporting the club by using the memory of legends like Vialli and it’s utterly reprehensible
Paris is a wonderful city, but I have been recently & the idea that the transport system, specifically the metro, is worthy of a gold medal is laughable. Of all the public transport systems I've used, it is the worst, with people crammed in like sardines. It's downright dangerous
Ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics, Paris pledged to transform itself.
From making the Seine swimmable to modernizing the transport system, how have the city's ambitions really panned out?

@Mij_Europe Except that everyone in France has a second vote, in which they can change their mind, and the results will only apply until the next vote. Also this election is democratically mandated while Brexit was an election pledge that could just not have been followed through on
@eoghanwalsh I think that much of what you sadly went through comes back to 2 things, poor road design/planning & the company car culture. Both exacerbate traffic & lead to crazy driving to make up lost time. The former is systemic & there is seemingly no political will to address the latter
@FPLGeneral@59thMinutePod would you take a -4/-8 for Solanke to Jackson and/or Saka to De Bruyne? Have to take out Kelleher with my free transfer so best GK there also appreciated (have 2 City, 2 Chelsea so feel Ederson and Petrovic are not the best options)
Hi @campbellclaret,
I’m a British Belgian who would also love you to do a deep dive on Belgium. If you do, please look into the assertion last week that Belgium functions well as it simply isn’t true politically or economically. It’s a wonderful country but far from the blueprint
Headline “British man doesn’t read rules applicable to all non-EU citizens for years (over 3 for the UK, since Brexit officially took place) prior to travelling and complains to media”. Complete with compulsory photo with sad expression and passports https://t.co/tHmpicR6UH
@DaveKeating Exactly, another reason why many Brits sadly don't speak a second language
Also many non-native speakers prefer to practice English than listen to our attempts to speak their language. My 🇫🇷 is pretty good, but I often get spoken to in English, despite being able to converse
@DaveKeating This is true. Another UK issue is the lack of an obvious second language to learn, and only having around an hour or so of lessons a week. Schools usually teach French, German or Spanish, and this is not consistent when you move between schools meaning you don’t build proficiency
#EUSEW2023 interrupted by climate protestors. One of the more relaxed and low key responses I’ve seen from security and organisers. Given time to make a speech and then slowly ushered off the stage
@FootballCliches https://t.co/yaYpNeXWIY was in Sweden earlier this week and noticed that the noise for announcements on their train network (heard from 1:28) sounds identical to the first half of the chant “same old team X, always cheating”
@FootballCliches For my sins corner candidate on radio 1 yesterday. Host talking to one of the people who formerly wore the mr blobby suit. From around 56 minutes in
@SpursOfficial@FootballCliches verdict on whether it’s ok to be photographed holding a shirt you’ll never wear if you sign for someone and then are loaned straight back?
