@IsaacHayes3 Only Karmelos family, Dominique Alexander, and Karmelos supporters are the ones that made this about race just so they could play the victim card. Y’all know damn well he’s guilty as sin.
@IsaacHayes3 What the hell are you talking about? The video and every single one of the witness statements (a good majority of who were black) all said the same thing. He was not surrounded. It was not self-defense. He was guilty, plain, and simple. Doesn’t matter what color his skin is.
@niquealex Good thing no one gives a shit what you think. It’s because of you and his parents actions those first days tha lt turned this whole thing racial. Karmelos done.
@tariqnasheed Lmao. Everyone that has testified, even one of karmelos friends have said even though he was sitting there he immediately escalated the situation when asked to leave. Already had his hand in the bag when he was talking shit. Stabbed Austin the second he even touched him.
I hope Texas is ready.
If Karmelo Anthony is found guilty (and I expect he will be), expect riots from the usual crowd that always loses their minds when the justice system actually works.
Law and order shouldn’t come with a side of threats and chaos.
Be prepared.
@_LaJanee_ Teen is saying several people confronted Karmelo Anthony and told him to leave the tent. Austin, another boy and he was among the Memorial High School kids who told Anthony to leave.
@_LaJanee_ One teen said he was watching the interaction between Metcalf and Anthony saying Karmelo had his hand in his backpack (that was sitting on his lap, not on his back or on the bleachers or ground) , and it appeared as though he was grabbing something,
@_LaJanee_ 'The vein in his arm was visible'
The teens testified that Metcalf did not get upset until Anthony refused to leave multiple times and that's when "things got more serious."
@_LaJanee_ One teen testified that Metcalf told Anthony
"I'm not going to fight you at a track meet, dude"
The Defense wants to know if Metcalf 'grabbed a hold' of Anthony
Another teen said,
"He didn't get the chance to grab hold of him. He was already stabbed."
@_LaJanee_ One of the black teens said he was sitting directly next to Anthony, and when Metcalf pushed Anthony, it wasn't even hard enough that Anthony touched him, and that Anthony acted so quickly that he didn't even realize what happened.
REPORT: Karmelo Anthony Trial Day Four
Apparently, if you violate a judge’s order and cut in front of others who were in line 30 minutes before you, you will be REWARDED with access to a courtroom that only allows 27 members of the public.
According to Judge Roach’s order, there is a curfew from 11pm to 6am every day for the duration of the trial. The order applies to the ENTIRE Collin County Courthouse campus, including parking lots, sidewalks, green spaces, and any other designated areas.
I have followed this order every day, arriving right at 6am as required by the curfew.
This morning, the first day of opening statements, I arrived at 6am as usual. There were already 20–25 people lined up at the front door. I immediately got in line. Many of them were not secretive about what time they had arrived, and some said they had been there closer to 5am, which is a VIOLATION of the judge’s order.
As I stood there, multiple people arrived and cut directly in front of me. And yes, I will make it clear that they were Karmelo Anthony supporters.
I wish I had said something. But I have done my best to maintain the peace so far, even with the disparaging comments that have been made and the constant line-cutting over the past few days.
I am fully fed up today. The first 27 were selected, and the cut off was 2 people in front of me. If there had not been violations or line cutters, I would be in the courtroom right now.
I understand that Judge Roach runs a tight ship, but he cannot control what he does not know is happening.
The family was brought in. Then the media. Then about a dozen individuals who claimed to be “family members of the Anthony’s,” including Kevin Hayes, Karmelo Anthony’s uncle, who initially spread false rumors that Karmelo had been jumped and that his cell phone had been smashed.
THEN, 27 members of the public were given passes for the remainder of the day.
Several of those individuals deserve to be in the courtroom. But the scales were tipped in favor of Anthony supporters because they cut in line and felt “entitled” to those positions.
I’m not going to hold back about their behavior any longer.
