@notathrv I’ll take the bait; I’m happy with the MacBook Pro; had a P70; which was great except for battery … and graphic drivers on Linux at the time. Main difference — besides battery is that you can run an LLM on the MBP with the large unified RAM. Oh, and FaceTime + ecosystem. YMMV.

The thing is, I really like Tesla products — what I don’t like to see is people placing their life and faith in technology that continues to need a lot more maturation.

It’s called (supervised) (beta) for a reason. But the initially title tricks the “average person”.

A more appropriate name for @Tesla’s autonomously driving is not FSD; but rather SAD: semi-autonomous driving.

A reasonably educated person knows that calling it FSD implies a lot more capability than actually exists.

The problem is that this marketing works for the uneducated.

I canceled the #CyberTruck reservation. And, for now, I have no regrets about it. $45K to $99,950 is quite a difference in cost. Oh, and upgrade things? $119,950?! Want the promised range? Add $15k. That’s insane. Yes, I get that the US has printed money like Argentina; but wow.
