@therealdanvega This might be a fun project to Spring-ify. https://t.co/xklnfP0Q2H I added in some basic factory methods. Thread safe, and doesn't rely on Python to do the dirty work of STT. It's slower than the python implementation ATM and plays with the Java 26 Vector API.
@MamezouDev I read your article, https://t.co/HZxTq5NyI4 and just made whisper4j available. https://t.co/xklnfP0Q2H which is a purely native implementation for Java. I've optimized for Apple silicon. Currently slower than python but has potential!
"Trump says he is considering seizing Iran's Kharg Island".
Or ... maybe let's not put US soldiers in a fixed location well within range of ballistic missiles and swarms of cheap drones.
If the destroyed AWACS plane isn't a clear strategic lesson ... I'm not sure what will be.
Inflation may be reported at ~2–3%, but that number misses what families actually feel. CPI ignores insurance premium hikes, rising deductibles, and regional spikes. Essentials keep getting pricier while “official” inflation stays low.

@Reis__TuRCo@joeroganhq In any case; it’s the consumers job to communicate their needs and unique circumstances.
The difference: the doctor asks if you have allergies. The clerk at the bakery doesn’t.
@Reis__TuRCo@joeroganhq The doctor is more like the clerk working at the bakery window.
They might recommend the chocolate cupcake and … then the person can say … does this have Eggs??? And they can say: let me look at the label. Oh, yep it does! Here’s one that doesn’t.
@notathrv I’ll take the bait; I’m happy with the MacBook Pro; had a P70; which was great except for battery … and graphic drivers on Linux at the time. Main difference — besides battery is that you can run an LLM on the MBP with the large unified RAM. Oh, and FaceTime + ecosystem. YMMV.
I don’t care what side of the aisle you’re party to. If you’re in congressional office right now; I’m not voting for you in the next election. Your inability to come up with common-sense fixes amongst yourselves for our system is reprehensible and an embarrassment to our nation.
The thing is, I really like Tesla products — what I don’t like to see is people placing their life and faith in technology that continues to need a lot more maturation.
It’s called (supervised) (beta) for a reason. But the initially title tricks the “average person”.
A more appropriate name for @Tesla’s autonomously driving is not FSD; but rather SAD: semi-autonomous driving.
A reasonably educated person knows that calling it FSD implies a lot more capability than actually exists.
The problem is that this marketing works for the uneducated.
@BryanKeIIy@missmayn Ha, my neighbor has a handful of this (and variants of classic cars); nothing but maintenance and calls to tow him after yet-another breakdown every now and again.
But the stories are generally worth it and the chuckles are good too.
@Philll_T@awscloud@ChatGPTapp Ha, I hate to say it; but that is the truth. Some areas are better than others. Core services; pretty good … but Bedrock is lagging far behind OpenRouter’s standardization. Hopefully they will catch up.
@springframework / @springboot It looks like there's a whoopsie with https://t.co/n2YwlqjjDK's security configuration through jfrog. Noticed 401's when attempting to run ./mvnw versions:display-dependency-updates.
This fine piece of art is called, “Joke review”; it’s about how cultural sensitivity has neutered the comedian’s ability to make insensitive jokes on the fly. Opening offer; $3M, as this has a bit more than half of the banana remaining. #Crypto for #FineArt. Banana not included.
Great job @WA_OIC #Washington state citizens love to be more ripped off inflationary insurance policies every single year. Approving a higher rate than was requested. Smooth.

Do none of you actually pay for your own insurance?
I canceled the #CyberTruck reservation. And, for now, I have no regrets about it. $45K to $99,950 is quite a difference in cost. Oh, and upgrade things? $119,950?! Want the promised range? Add $15k. That’s insane. Yes, I get that the US has printed money like Argentina; but wow.
