A thread on what Marcelo Bielsa means to me #lufc :
I'm 26 and my first year following Leeds United was 2003/2004 - the year of our relegation from the Premier League. My generation was raised on little more than fragments and scraps from history - a heap of broken images.
Regardless of the rights & wrongs:
We loved the man unconditionally
We never celebrated promotion
We never enjoyed the PL first season
We won’t get to say goodbye
That’s why this hurts so much. He gave us so much but we never said thank you
Viva Bielsa 🇦🇷 #lufc
One of many takes but here's mine; Bielsa not only ignited at team but an entire fanbase and city. His heart, style and humility has genuinely made every Leeds fan I speak to a nicer, more patient and better person. It goes so far beyond the team and the football pitch.
Don’t waste your time biting at the shite clickbait other platforms are posting and read this, its beautiful. *adds ‘widow of Bielsa’ to bio*
“More than anything, he has allowed fans to dream again.”
