Absolutely the truth. What’s dissapointing for raid ranking is that they can say “well we want to keep it a class experience.” But then what happens to tanking is not tanking… doing heroic burning crusade, it’s a frost mage slamming blizzard and you running around kiting…

Let's talk @Warcraft Forever Tanking in dungeons. Multiple times it seems @AggrendWoW wants tanking to consist of pulling 2 maybe 3 mobs and CC'ing rest. Yes this was something we did heavily in Vanilla in 2004-2005.

But I have been tanking for almost 22 full years. I can't exactly rewind my brain and ignore all the things I've learned in every expansion.

I went into a dungeon on my Paladin and AOE Tanked it just fine. 4-5 Mobs sometimes more. Is this to the team the wrong way to do it? I know Consecrate hits 4 targets. But I know enough to focus my auto attacks/Holy Strike/Judges on mobs that don't have the Cons buff to maintain aggro on all of them.

If I work hard, grind hard to build myself to succeed shouldn't the reward be being able to Tank how I want without putting a stress on the healers and the group?

I really don't know if the message sent at Blizzcon was just fluff cause it was in the moment. Or if the way of AOE tanking LOS'ing big packs is considered sacrilegious.

Anyway to any inspiring Tank in Forever, my advice is know your limits, know your group, and communicate. Tank as much as you feel comfortable tanking. And if you find problem mobs. Solve the problem.

'wow: forever' is just about the worst name they could have went with.

It's a description of a product. There's no emotion to it.

It isn't an in universe name either (eg 'Wrath of the Lich King'. 'Burning Crusade')
