Stepping out means learning to see yourself as the chessboard, filled with possibilities, rather than as any one piece on the board, confined to certain preordained moves.
Most people who had to work and struggle their way to the top have a distinct humility and character about them. They remember where they came from, who helped them along the way and the sacrifice they’ve made. As a result they keep working like they are still trying to make it.
