@DigginTakes I’ve always said…
Kids should play multiple sports and kids should be allowed to be kids.
I’m not against advanced leagues, better competition, etc.
But no kid should be playing one sport all year & no kid should be training “like a pro” until at least HS.
They’re kids.

Last night Eric Huss suffered an injury from an inadvertent skate to his neck. He was transported after a pivotal response from our trainer, Rachel Leahy.
Eric underwent successful surgery to repair a severe laceration to his neck and will return to West Point today. Warrior.
Just so this is out there in the ether-
the athletic training staff IS PART OF the medical staff. There is no need to separate "the medical and athletic training staffs" as two separate entities. They're not. Athletic Trainers are medical professionals.
If the first response from an athlete we see in the office with an injury that the athlete needs to temporarily stop their sport is ...
‘Oh....my coach is going to be mad.’
...then that team needs to rethink their culture around athletes & injuries.
Heard that twice today 😔
