@VivekGRamaswamy "We dodged a potential catastrophe" makes it sound as though it was a threat that was neutralized. For someone who isn't a politician, you sure as hell know how to lie without technically lying.
@james_jinnette1 @_DrFrusci @VivekGRamaswamy The FBI wrapped up quickly because it was clearly not a terrorist attack. Explosives and biproducts would have been very easy to find. The passengers were also residents of Grand Island, just a short drive from that bridge (on the US side).
@McMike70@JABrandl@CoryMillsFL@mattgaetz @RepJimBanks @RepMarkAlford I was under the impression that attendence is permitted but active participation is not. So a message warning service members to practice caution if they attend, and to avoid active participation, sounds like good advice.
@StefanBarnes9@force22music@OuiCordonBleu@leckston@NHS We don't disagree on financial management and corruption being contributing factors.
I would, however, be surprised to learn that NHS is so crippled that less than 80,000 asylees/year (most of whom are healthy enough to cross an ocean on a tiny boat) has a large impact.
@StefanBarnes9@force22music@OuiCordonBleu@leckston@NHS Allow me to clarify: When I say immigrant I am referring to the umbrella term that includes everyone you mentioned. I assumed, maybe incorrectly, that you were also using it as an umbrella term.
@StefanBarnes9@force22music@OuiCordonBleu@leckston@NHS Are you saying that the number of asylees presenting to your border is having a significant impact on the NHS ability to deliver care to the rest of your people? I would be interested in seeing some objective data supporting that assumption
@StefanBarnes9@force22music@OuiCordonBleu@leckston@NHS I won't attempt to discuss the legality of the asylum process. As for the prioritization bit, I'm not sure how you do that. 2 victims of a motor vehicle accident present to the ER, does your physician check citizenship papers as part of the triage?
@StefanBarnes9@force22music@OuiCordonBleu@leckston@NHS Immigrants don't only show up on boats. Your country does have an immigration policy which admits immigrants into your population every single year. Those people have a right to access healthcare as well
@StefanBarnes9@force22music@OuiCordonBleu@leckston@NHS If you can't afford those things then get rid of them. Maybe spend more money on importing physicians and nurses if you can't produce enough in your domestic schools.
@StefanBarnes9@force22music@OuiCordonBleu@leckston@NHS Did the NHS break the day those boats hit land? If you evicted all immigrants from the system, would the NHS suddenly be adequate for those patients who remain in the system?
@StefanBarnes9@force22music@OuiCordonBleu@leckston@NHS 2/ Look at the effect that lack of adequate healthcare has on the overall population and calculate how much it will cost you down the line to manage the complications that results from excluding a portion of your population from receiving care. So yes, wise to add them.
@StefanBarnes9@force22music@OuiCordonBleu@leckston@NHS Your country permitted immigrants in. The NHS was broken before those immigrants got there. Fix it so that it can care for immigrants and citizens alike. Excluding immigrants you've already taken in from receiving healthcare is neither wise nor a solution.
@StefanBarnes9@OuiCordonBleu@leckston@NHS You definitely did say, and suggest, that it should work that way when you asked why people who have not yet paid into it are "prioritized" before you.
@StefanBarnes9@OuiCordonBleu@leckston@NHS Do you know how your society works? The NHS doesn't prioritize cases based on how much taxes the person paid. That would be a horrible way to operate a social healthcare system.
