There is no war on Christmas except on Fox News and in the minds of desperate right-wing politicians scrambling to hold together their own caucus.
It would be great to see @TasmanianLabor actually take this on in a real way, but let's not hold our breath.
Jeremy Rockliff is desperately importing American-style culture wars to Tasmania to distract from the fact that people are dying waiting for ambulances and the budget is completely busted. #politas
His party is under threat from One Nation, and his leadership is under threat from Felix Ellis. So he's desperately pandering to the hard right by attacking a primary school over the name of a celebration instead of focusing on the real issues.
Pushed a new update to TasPoli Tracker: Question Time. Pulled in from Hansard every question asked in the House of Assembly since August 2025, 873 so far. You can choose any MP to see what they ask about, and who they ask.

The Hobart City Council election has to be some sort of absurdist psyop. We are (mercifully) 10 days out. We’re now at the point where the candidates are just posting photos of their broken signs and blaming the other side. That’s the campaign. This is what we got. #politas
Sen. Dan Sullivan: "Can I ask the moderator a question? We weren't supposed to get these questions beforehand, were we?"
Moderator: "Neither one of you got questions beforehand. Absolutely not."
Sullivan: "Okay, I'm just watching my opponent read from questions that seem to be answered."
Mary Peltola: "I'm prepared."
Looks like Lorne Doerkson's candidate in Strathcona Jordan McIntosh thought he could use a nameless twitter account to say many awful, offensive things, including claims that Hitler didn't "specifically" hate jews and that the holocaust may not have been "the goal".
The sheer volume and concentration of lobbyists in Tasmania is a real problem. So I built a tool for people to dig into who’s representing who, and which ministers they are meeting with. Link below.

We are in a new political era in Tasmania, but the two major parties haven't caught on. For @TasmanianLabor in particular, there is no government by majority: only through coalition. You might not like it, but it is what it is. More like this on TasPoli Tracker! a #politas
@LukeMartin1983 Absolutely they deserve it. I’ve been to that school and met the teachers in a previous life. It’s a great school. They shouldn’t have had to wait for this whole process to play is my point.
Introducing TasPoli Tracker! We need more transparency in Tassie politics. So i've built something that pulls public data into an easy-to-understand format. Polls, donations, and sentiment analysis of party comms. More to come! #politas
