Freddie Freeman says he congratulates opposing hitters at first base
“If you get a hit, I’m saying, ‘Nice hit.’ You know how hard it is to get a hit in the big leagues?”
“I appreciate it. I tell every guy, ‘Nice swing,’ or, ‘Way to swing it.’”
“I know my pitchers probably wouldn’t like that.”
“We’re playing a game. It’s a kids’ game.”
“Sometimes you just forget when you’re going through the grind of the season.”
“My favorite is when it’s a big-league debut… And that guy gets his first hit. To be able to say, ‘Congratulations.’ You worked so hard your whole life to get there.”
“Sooner rather than later, I’m going to be retired, too. I just like to have fun with all the guys. I know we’re competing against each other… But you guys know it’s a brotherhood.”
“When you get to play this game for as long as we’ve got to… You’ve just got to enjoy the little moments.”
🚨Breaking: Whistleblower Speaks Out About Issues at Kentucky Ford Battery Plant
- Products were manufactured for no one in order to keep billions in taxpayer funds, with some spontaneously catching fire and requiring forklifts to move flaming pallets into water dunk tanks.
-Mold stalagmites are growing in an abandoned building that hundreds of millions in taxpayer funds were spent constructing just a few years ago.
These are just some of the issues at the now-shuttered and currently being refitted Ford battery plant in Glendale, Kentucky.
The state of Kentucky gave Ford $350 million in taxpayer funds to build these plants in the form of free land, taxpayer-funded training, and a $250 million forgivable loan. The federal government gave them billions more. However, in order to keep these funds, Ford had to hit certain job targets. This led to the manufacturing of batteries for no one, with these fire hazards simply being stored on site.
Whistleblower Thomas Walling, a former member of the Emergency Response Team at the plant, is speaking out about the concerns all Kentuckians should have and the waste of taxpayer funds that has occurred.
He believes the plant may bounce back, but the question remains: how much of our tax dollars has been wasted chasing the EV pipe dream in Kentucky?
They ask why I’m the only Republican to vote No on Trump’s spending bills:
He “awarded Pfizer contracts worth roughly $1.24 billion for COVID-19 vaccines for the remainder of fiscal 2026 and fiscal 2027, including hundreds of millions for pediatric doses” https://t.co/OZ1psduFJI
@RepGuthrie How far would a few billion go toward helping your constituents, the people who elected you to act on our behalf? Why do you hate those you represent? Why do you love sending money to Ukraine and Iran??

“They went along at roughly 2% CPI, the red dashed line, for a very long time. In the midst of that those tiny little blips led to ZIRP, QE, everything to try to offset any sort of efficiency gains for productivity...Then they took the lid off with average inflation targeting."
David Dredge
US Inflation has now been above the Fed's target level for 64 consecutive months, averaging 4% per year since 2019.
So why is the Fed expanding its balance sheet again (QE)?
They should be doing the exact opposite - hiking rates and shrinking their balance sheet.

"trying to control a variable you can't measure (inflation) with a tool you don't understand (money) in a complex system with unobservable non-linear interrelationships (the economy) is a guaranteed way to ensure that most things which happen weren't supposed to happen." STEP 1
Now might be a good time to remind @realDonaldTrump and his lackeys who wrote that speech that his beloved CARES Act funded the massive nationwide mail-in election of 2020. I was the only person in Congress to stand up to oppose it.
"trying to control a variable you can't measure (inflation) with a tool you don't understand (money) in a complex system with hidden, unobservable non-linear interrelationships (the economy) is a guaranteed way to ensure that most things which happen weren't supposed to happen."
1. The CPI has been above the @FederalReserve's made-up 2% model since early 2021. This is an epic failure.
2. The Fed's legal mandate is "stable prices," not 2%, a number they pulled out of their butts.
3. The CPI itself is a nonsense math model.
Do you know why the establishment is refusing to acknowledge that Mitch McConnell can't function anymore? Because if he's declared unfit for office before August 3rd, they'd have to have a special election. And @RepThomasMassie could run in it. Israeli lobby will not allow it.
I know we are only halfway through the year, but I feel it will be hard to top this comment from one of the obligatory buy recommendations on $SPCX issued by one of the underwriters this week. It is truly glorious.
Jerome - you monetized TRILLIONS of MBS even when Case-Shiller was running +20% year over year.
You f'd up the housing market with that and a decade of ZIRP and QE.
