Fascinating City Lit event tomorrow discussing disfluency, intersectionality, and dysfluent art. https://t.co/7izqQ8RWy6 International range of speakers including @jackrnicholas from CNS.
@ClaireBullShef Have stammered in my head when reading / preparing presentation. Don’t think has happened with normal reading without expectation of speaking.
@clentonF@PuntonRobert I am intrigued by Post as a possible twitter alternative. Be interested to see what you think. I am currently 36203 on wait list, but if you use this link to try it out, I might get on faster! https://t.co/1c4yOFsLw3
@TonyMillett@stutterverse I have 2 copies! one on Kindle so I can highlight savagely while not destroying paper version. No spoilers but half way through and enjoying every page...
@stammastriders — Reading this post by @craigmod about walking and talking with others as you walk. So naturally, thought of you...
"You feel changed by the walk and changed by the people you walk beside. The world yawns in new ways."

@redefinestammer This series of guided discussions is just so good. Lovely people and great conversations. Recommend for anyone interested in new thinking / writing / talking about stammering.

@TupsTweets This is a triple challenge: 1. Assumptions around “good” presentations are deep rooted. 2. Even well-intentioned people often need help cutting through myths and misconceptions around stammering. And then, 3. The whole “time is money” mindset — where do you start with that?!
@TupsTweets How do we challenge the format? Can we propose absurd counter "reasonable adjustments":
- 90 seconds as Dylan & cards https://t.co/zREEAxsUA5
- presenting in BSL with organisers providing an interpreter?
- a PWS pausing stopwatch during overt disfluency?
In a great blog https://t.co/JRbesSXyUG for @stammer, @kirsten_howells talks about feeling an imposter when asking for help and saying "I stammer". I wonder if this is a common feeling, and that part of being a community is countering any hierarchy of stammering.
@Hope_G_H@ClaireBullShef Many thanks, Hope, I will DM you. I enjoyed your and Kristel's workshop at StammaFest, not least the opening remark that school is the one place you have to return to — that so resonated with me! Thanks to Claire for reminding me about the club and you for contact.
@kirsten_howells@StephFBurgess@ClaireBullShef Thank you for this moving and thoughtful post. You've moved fast - I am still processing StammaFest! I do like the idea that professional documentation and analysis can empower a PWS and validate their experience. For me, a different and useful take on community building.
