@jjcoop36 I didn’t realize there was an article. My apologies. I don’t have a subscription so I haven’t read, but the Ventura pic was an answer to your question. The soft tossers that we see are the elite ones, we don’t see the soft tossers who can’t locate because they won’t get innings
@PEARatings So over a large enough sample (will never actually happen) you think teams would regress towards the expectation?
As to say there isn’t an inherent reason so many teams are over performing in the field it’s just luck
@QuinnRiley_BB@LanzilliCam That’s fair and I do agree with you. A couple low floor high ceiling guys is ideal. My point is more about it’s not a lack of trust in development it’s roster limitations (34) and time constraints (elig. and staff) and then having to choose which projects to target based on fit
Medium intent throwing days are dumb unless you’re on-ramping after time off.
In season, medium days should be thrown out completely.
Starters: high days for start day, and bullpen day, low days for the rest
Relievers: literally either you’re on (high) or off (light).
When we were kids, my brother and I would compete throwing rocks across the street into mailboxes.
But I can’t put that into a program, so now we throw variability balls at bucket lids.
Tomato tomato.
