@niklas84185@sprachspiele its actually not retarded to use PPP because it accounts for the cost of living in the given country. PPP is more useful if you are trying to gauge a countries capacity to fight wars because it takes into account the cost of production within a country.
@akarlin@Steve_Sailer If Oliver earns $5 dollars a day but can only buy 1 apple a day and Dmitry earns $1 dollar a day but can buy 5 apples Technically Oliver has higher nominal gdp but Dmitry has higher PPP gdp.
@Empty_America Which hereditarian makes an exception for the Appalachians? I think its well established that they have the lowest IQ amongst all white American subgroups. And I would posit that is likely the reason they are discriminated against. Low intelligence will always be seen as inferior
@meseeksnthinks @SBMedia26 @BLeez17 the second team left not because there wasnt fan support. Fan support was actually decent for a crappy team. Ownership moved them because there was infighting and didnt want to keep the team. Had nothing to do with market viability.
@Mirothestallion Its revenue is projected between 7.5 to 8 billion last season. Its one of the fastest growing leagues in the world. The other sports are just more popular in general due to a host of factors - one being that historically it was hard to establish an ice rink in a warmer climate.
@BringHockeyBack Houston - Largest US city without an NHL franchise, Austin - Largest US city without a team from the 4 major leagues and the last two Atlanta and Phoenix because they are the 2nd and 3rd largest cities in the US without a NHL team. I know I will get a lot of flack for that
@walsha Without the salary cap the NHL would be like the MLB. The salary cap provides competitive balance and allows smaller market teams to compete with the big market teams like Leafs, Rangers, Kings etc.
@annoyedcanuck1@bnicholsonsmith why not? Juicing the Canadian TV rights contract would be a boon for the MLB. How much does nashville move the needle for a national TV contract in the US? If Nashville is in contention and I dont see why Vancouver wouldn't be either.
@DSAlarm@NHLRumourReport Hockey currently has more stars than its ever had, and is a far superior product to anything in previous generations. The NHL was like 80% Canadian 3 decades ago. Now its 41% and theres been a massive infusion of American and European talent into the league since the 90s.
