Mine is to engage young Ugandans to love their country. #Patriotism is not about slogans. It is about responsibility. A patriotic youth is one who sees a problem in their village and asks, “What can I do about it?” @Presidency_Ug@KagutaMuseveni@GovUganda
Yesterday at Spectrum FM, I said the first role of the Pan African Movement is #mindsetchange. Ugandans must stop seeing PDM, Emyooga, and Shilling Uganda as pocket money. It is capital to build. Our role is to teach communities to turn it into assets we own together: a fish cold room, cassava dryer, or maize mill, not cash we consume and forget.
Our hardest role is killing #dependency. We must ask every community: What have you done before asking for grants or government money? Have you saved? Have you mapped your resources? Have you organized yourselves? Government will not build you if you have not built yourself. Our role is to wake the people: Take the initiative. Build the asset. Then ask government to scale it.

I recently had the privilege of attending the Youth leaders round table discussion on Election Violence prevention and participatory governance organized by @IRIglobal .The event brought together youth leaders from Lango, West Nile, Karamoja, and Acholi sub-regions to engage in a critical dialogue on the importance of peaceful elections and the role of youth in preventing election violence.
The discussion, chaired by Madam Kisaro Beatrice, provided a platform for participants to explore key issues surrounding election violence, including understanding election violence, promoting women's participation in electoral processes, identifying triggers of electoral violence, and the role of youth in preventing violence and ensuring credible elections.
The event was a resounding success, with participants commending IRI and other stakeholders for their efforts in promoting peaceful elections and youth engagement. The discussions and recommendations from the event are expected to inform initiatives aimed at preventing election violence and promoting peaceful coexistence in the region.
As a participant,I believe that this event was a significant step towards creating a more stable future for Uganda. The insights and ideas shared during the discussion will go a long way in empowering youth leaders to promote peaceful elections and contribute to the country's development.
I am grateful to @IRIglobal for organizing this event and look forward to continued collaboration with stakeholders to ensure peaceful and credible elections in Uganda.

Day 4 of the #AfrikiLiberarion Day celebration is centered on the Cultural Summit, where close to 200 cultural leaders from across #Africa are gathered @spekeresort to discuss the role of culture in Pan-Africanism.
The conversations are moving beyond symbolism focusing on how traditions, arts, language, and shared heritage can actively drive continental unity, strengthen identity, and advance self-determination. It’s about positioning culture as the living force behind integration, youth engagement, and Africa’s collective ownership of its future.
#UnityinAction.
Culture is critical to development. It shapes our identity, enhances diplomacy & promotes social cohesion. This week the @panafric_ug + @aido_network are driving conversations on how culture & heritage can position Africa on the global scene #AfrikaLiberationDay2026
Today, Uganda stands at the heart of Africa as we mark #AfrikaLiberationDay at the @Phanerookampala Naguru Grounds. Hosting this continental celebration is more than a milestone for Uganda.
it’s a statement that the spirit of Pan-Africanism is alive, rooted in our shared history and moving toward a future we define ourselves. From Kampala, voices across the continent are converging to honor our cultures, reclaim our narratives, and reaffirm that Africa’s strength lies in unity without erasing identity.
The grounds are alive with the pulse of the continent music, art, and dialogue that remind us culture is not decoration, it’s the foundation. This is where heritage meets purpose, where young and old gather to discuss self-determination, innovation, and the role of African identity in shaping global influence.
