🇵🇸 🎥 New: “We escaped the siege of gunfire, only to be under the siege of cement.”
Residents of eastern Al-Maghazi camp in central Gaza told Drop Site News that Israeli forces on Sunday pumped a thick cement-like substance into their neighborhood after tanks advanced near Hosni Al-Masadar Mosque, leaving streets buried under hardened concrete and trapping families inside their homes.
Speaking to journalist Mohamed Ahmed, Mahmoud Abu Shahada (28) said residents could no longer reach work, evacuate, or transport wheelchair users to medical appointments. “We can’t even walk in the street,” he said.
Ibrahim Abu Hajjaj (39) said children and elderly residents had fallen trying to cross the cement-covered roads. He warned the material had seeped into homes and could clog drainage systems. “This is the first time in the history of the Gaza Strip that we are drowning in cement,” he said.
Many residents were seen clearing the streets by hand, while others salvaged hardened cement to patch damaged homes because Israel continues to restrict the entry of construction materials into Gaza.
Abu Shahada warned that if Israeli forces launched another incursion into the neighborhood, residents would have no way to escape: “If we wanted to flee, it’s impossible for us to flee. We will remain sitting here, besieged.”

Reporter: Some members of the Jewish community, including Democratic Congressman Josh Gottheimer, were alarmed by the language you used at the rally last week, calling AIPAC monsters who move dark money.
Mamdani: I want to be very clear. We’re talking about a status quo where children are being killed on a daily basis. More than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli military since the so-called ceasefire.
Even an Al Jazeera journalist, Ahmed Wishah, was killed this past Saturday by an Israeli strike. And when I am speaking about AIPAC, I’m speaking about an organization that has been supportive of the status quo, that has fought any attempt to actually deliver safety to people not just in Palestine but, frankly, throughout much of the region.
And it is a status quo of immorality. It is one that I will not accept. And when it comes to the way in which they defend the status quo, oftentimes they defend it through direct contributions, as we are seeing right now in New York 13.
Oftentimes they also support the status quo through dark money, by funneling money that would have previously come directly from AIPAC through other organizations whose contributors’ identities are only made clear after an election.
And I think it is important that when we ask ourselves how such death and destruction is happening overseas, we also name those who allow it to take place.
🎥 ‘They were science students.’
A witness describes the aftermath of an Israeli strike that targeted two vehicles on one of Gaza City’s busiest commercial streets, killing high school student Raghad Ashour as she was on her way to her graduation exams on Monday.
Osama Shehada says the street was filled with students when “three or four missiles” struck.
“Nine children were walking here a minute before the strike,” he says. “Their mothers told them, ‘Good morning, may God be pleased with you, go to school.’ They returned to them dead.”
“You treat us like animals,” he says. “Then create an animal welfare society and protect us… there is no safe place.”
“They strike hospitals. They strike schools. They strike us everywhere… Protect us. Have mercy on us. Enough is enough.”

“They knew exactly who Mona Khalil was.
They knew the bright orange house in Mansouri, south Lebanon. They knew it was not a military site, not a command center, not a battlefield position. It was one of the most recognizable symbols of environmental conservation on Lebanon's southern coast; a sanctuary dedicated to protecting endangered sea turtles and preserving life.”
Marwa Osman writes about Israel’s deliberate targeting of a prominent environmental activist in Lebanon. ⬇️
Very sad to learn that Mona Khalil died after weeks in the ICU following an Israeli strike that levelled her home in Mansouri. She was a very well-known environmental activist and dedicated her life to saving endangered turtles. She stayed in the south despite Israeli strikes because of her love for the land.
She was a civilian, a renowned figure but Israel targeted her house.
CNN profiled her in 2017 here: https://t.co/ZaMRnuS4zf
“I live every day to the fullest and don’t worry about tomorrow,” she told the newspaper.
VIDEO | "We have flattened the entire first line of villages in southern Lebanon, all the houses have been destroyed. The residents will never see them standing ever again."
In a stark acknowledgment of systemic ethnic cleansing, Israeli War Minister Israel Katz boasted on Friday that the Israeli military has completely obliterated the entire first tier of Lebanese border villages.
Framing the mass destruction as a permanent "security zone", Katz explicitly declared that the 200,000 displaced Lebanese residents "are not returning."
I have never heard of a country invading a neighbor and then calling it unfair that their soldiers died in that invasion. I don’t think any other country ever even thought to make that complaint.
On top of that, Israel now wants to retaliate for its soldiers being killed while invading their neighbor.
This is pure madness. Just leave Lebanon.
Ben-Gvir replaces prison inspectors with families of killed Israelis to increase pressure on Palestinian detainees
——
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has replaced professional prison inspectors with relatives of Israelis killed during the genocide in Gaza, aiming to systematically worsen the detention conditions of Palestinian prisoners. Israel's Channel 12 reported on Wednesday that Ben-Gvir slashed the number of official inspectors to fewer than 20, bypassing 'qualified' personnel to install partisan monitors responsible for overseeing the treatment and living conditions of Palestinian detainees.
The highly controversial move drew sharp condemnation from within Israel's security establishment and political circles. Former senior officials from the Israel Prison Service and domestic political sources described it as an illegal decision that will severely damage Israel's international relations, warning that utilizing non-professional bodies driven by personal grievances could trigger intense global scrutiny and dangerously escalate tensions inside the prison system.
The policy shift coincides with the death of Palestinian prisoner Imad Sarhan on Saturday at Gilboa Prison due to severe medical neglect, raising the total number of Palestinian deaths in Israeli captivity to 104 since October 2023. Human rights organizations report that roughly 9,500 Palestinian detainees, including women and children, currently face systemic starvation, torture, and medical deprivation across the Israeli prison system.
While reporting from Halhul today in the occupied West Bank, Israeli settlers severely damaged our vehicle and those of several Palestinians, smashing windows & puncturing tires. Thankfully, no one was in the vehicles.
We won't be deterred from continuing to report on this story.

Since day one of the ceasefire, Israel has never stopped wiping out neighborhoods in Gaza.
This documentation from yesterday follows the recent expansion of the so-called "yellow line" as it pushes deeper into populated blocks.

"It's not ethnic cleansing! Israel is generously asking civilians to leave their homes before Israel razes those homes to the ground so the civilians can never return and Israel can (according to its interior minister, less than 2 weeks ago) annex and settle their land"
🚨Israel’s PM Netanyahu says he has ordered the IDF to seize 70% of the Gaza Strip
Netanyahu: “At this point, we are fully in control of 60% of the territory of the Gaza Strip… and my directive is to get to… 70%”
Audience member: “100! 100!”
Netanyahu: “Wait, let’s go in order. First 70%. Let’s start with that.”
Israel had withdrawn to 53% of Gaza after the ceasefire brokered by the US last October, but has steadily expanded control to over 60%, maps show.
