@OriginalFunko@veefriends DOOM because you guys remake anything of value, and produce infinite lines of crap that you then have to clearance. So you restock valuable items to make up the bottom dollar, meanwhile screwing collectors. Need some tips? I hear you guys hire anyone.
All in all, I believe NFTs as technology will hold up forever, not back yet, but eventually.
However, a lot of shitty people made a lot of money, it was fun while it lasted.
I doubt we will ever see a bull run like we had again, but the underlying blockchain boom will return
Been a while since I’ve been involved in the NFT space, left in better shape than I arrived but want to talk about the good and bad projects I had a stint in
@CryptoBatzNFT was interesting. Community was totally forced into participation in order to mint. Zero real community and initial (paid) promo from Ozzy Osbourne got it off the ground.
Lazy design with zero utility, luckily recognized that early and made a BAG and dipped.
@JungleFreaksNFT “Wokeness” in the space and people’s fear of being associated with something they can be attacked for owning.
Nonetheless, understand everyone’s stance and followed suit myself. BUT there was great potential and an INSANE community, shame it went the way it did.
@JungleFreaksNFT And idiot 2nd buyer weren’t enough to bring it back.
Art was top-tier, but the artist had a dark (decade old) past that came to light and took the project down (calculated attack) but understandable downfall nonetheless.
Showed the power of community, but also the danger of…
@MurderHeadDC another rug pull. This is more wild that it was an official @LiquidDeath project that was later sold off to someone else once it failed.
Zero value delivered aside from pushing more LD product out at discount.
Proof that corporate America and NFTs don’t mix.
@3LandersNFT total rug pull. Seemed promising, but it was an investment-focus themed community, and never delivered real value.
Proved the uselessness of “art” installments and “treasure hunts” with no real value “POM” only served himself, leaving the project high and dry.
Shoutout to @quirkiesnft for being the only project I still hold to this day that is positive. They’ve continued to deliver new projects as well as owner rewards throughout the lull in the space and still deliver to this day
Hats off to you all for staying true to the space ♥️
