@HokiePharmacist@cvspharmacy They won't, I don't fit under the official DX for it (I have something that shares a lot of symptoms though and is a very similar DX). Although my doctor and my observations align with it potentially being life changing.
@HokiePharmacist@cvspharmacy I'm not at all shocked to see this. I had a doctor send over a script for Pitolisant, which is a specialty pharmacy only. Insurance denied it of course, and it was only $8k/mo out of pocket. R and D costs I guess (sarcasm).

Call Express Scripts and let someone who can't even remotely pronounce your medication read you the denial reason you just got in the mail". If patient choice was still feasible, this kind of stuff wouldn't happen.
@HokiePharmacist@cvspharmacy This aligns with a lot of what I've watched. Also, as a budding data analyst I can appreciate an objective vs subjective analysis on this. Daily market rate implemented in an unfounded way is pure theft. And don't get me started on orphan drugs and that racket.
@HokiePharmacist@cvspharmacy We're certainly feeling the squeeze on mail order. We've had to switch on some meds due to pre-auth nightmares and going to the pharmacy 5 times for a single medication fill until they got it right. Consumer choice is quickly being eradicated.
