It feels like we’ve all gotten away from what we started UGC for in the first place.
The freedom.
Because somehow we’ve left or avoided a 9-5 to be working MORE than 40 hours a week.
And everyone just nods and agrees that it’s “part of the sacrifice.”
Not it’s not. The sacrifice was betting on yourself and taking that risk. The reward is supposed to be finally enjoying what you love with the free time UGC has created.
Spending time with family. Traveling. Sleeping in. There’s no reason you should be missing your kids game because you’re slammed with work. We’re content creators.. this is supposed to be fun.
But the truth is, there is a ton of hidden stuff that comes with making UGC a career. And there really doesn’t need to be.
As I continue seeing more and more creators struggle with this same problem, I thought back to why I chose to pursue UGC out of college instead of a real job. Freedom to do whatever tf I want, whenever tf I want.
So it was put on my heart to make a solution not just for me, but for us all.
And after 7 long months of building, testing and refining. That solution is @ugcsuite
A workspace for UGC creators to run their entire business in one place. And it only takes a few minutes per week, not hours. So you can just focus on the content.
I can’t wait for you to check it out and most importantly finally gain your freedom back!
#note2self only you notice those tinyyy details after rewatching back your content. The 2 wrinkles in ur pants. The dust ball in the corner.
No brand, agency or viewer is even thinking about those. And if they are they’re probably saying “this is way too relatable”
I’m amused by the littlest things🤣
Going to submit content rn and remembered the brand sent me a GDrive folder somewhere above in our email thread.. I was about to start sifting and then remember I attached the link right when I got it to my deal in UGC Suite. It’s simplest and stupidest thing Ik. But it feels so nice not having to waste those 2 mins and overstimulate myself.
May seem like I glaze this platform and that I’m bias, but truth is I get excited about all these features bc it’s new to me too. We’re currently stress testing the site now, catching and smoothing out all the bugs, so it can be perfect when you guys get on!
Best part about being an actual UGC creator and user of the organizational tool I'm building, is being able to craft these features from my own experiences.
For example, traditional deals aren't the only of UGC deal. There's also retainer deals with CPM and performance based deals which have recently become very popular.
Luckily I've created for each type so I have a good idea of the different details each require. And it's important creators can can track all their different kinds of deals together in one spot.
As someone who lives at home with one retired parent and another who "works from home" (aka they just watch tv shows in the living room..)
Give me a script read in the car ALL day long.
When I see the brief mention F2C in the car my ears perk up. Yes plss
I used to say yes to any and every deal.
If it had a $ sign, it was mine. But that was the desperate college kid trying to make rent.
As I get older I’ve become WAY more cognizant who I partner and associate my brand with. Not only for my sake but for the brand as well.
And as a founder whose whole business is built on trust and community, my reputation down the line matters way more than some money now.
p.s. if you come across an old bs vid from the college days just turn a blind eye.. I didn’t know what perpetual usage meant, so who knows where those vids are floating around now 🤣
@naturallyshan I have 😂 why they picked me idk, but same thing. What I did was made them agree once i gave them the tracking # it was their problem if it got lost and they agreed. And everything went well
