A barn cat named Beth went into a burning barn to rescue her kittens. After managing to survive along with her kittens, Beth went viral after returning to her old self in just three months despite the severe injuries she suffered.
"She was completely unrecognizable... whiskers gone, bald, swollen face, crispy ears, her bright white fur singed orange."
But Beth had one advantage: she had a human who cared for her with love and patience. Thanks to the care, attention, and love she received, she healed and regained her health. Sometimes, love truly is the most powerful medicine ❤️🥹

Wrong. The Philippines has always been divided by class, region, dynasties, and elite capture long before Duterte won in 2016. Martial law, coup plots, pork barrel scams, and unchecked drug syndicates created far deeper fractures than anything that followed.
Duterte's presidency did not create those fault lines. It simply brought them into the open by challenging the very system that had protected drug lords and oligarchs while ordinary Filipinos suffered. He won because the people demanded security and accountability after years of polite neglect from Manila.
What you call unprecedented division is the necessary reckoning between a leader who governed for the masses and the entrenched interests that preferred the status quo of failure.
Stop pretending the country was united before him. It was not. Duterte merely refused to keep pretending otherwise.
In this video, Naga City Mayor Leni #Robredo is being interviewed about the severe illegal drug problem in her locality. She is expressing deep concern over the situation, specifically pointing out systemic failures and corruption hindering the local fight against drugs.
TRANSCRIPT
TRANSLATION:
"Our drug problem here is severe. Even the City Hall itself, ah, we had an assessment of this, and my feeling really is that we are not doing enough.
Uhm, I—I find the city's programs regarding drugs to be very lacking. When it comes to enforcement, that falls under the PNP. But the work of the PNP and the City Hall really needs to be well-synergized.
Uhm, I have already passed a lot of information to Colonel Fariñas. In fact, we receive a lot of information where, for example, they complain in the barangay that their biggest problem is actually the police asset [informant]. The police asset, when it comes to drugs, is the biggest problem because he is the biggest drug personality in the barangay. So I have already brought that up to Colonel Fariñas.
Then there are also those who seemingly do it openly... uhm, I won't mention which barangay anymore but I have already shared the reports with him, uhm, that it seems like... you know, it seems like they've gotten used to it... the... the high schools, the high school students..."

For years, the #Kakampink script was simple. Treat #Duterte's war on drugs as pure evil, reduce every anti-drug operation into a human rights slogan, sneer at people who demanded order in their own communities, and pretend that the drug problem was some exaggerated fantasy invented by populists.
Then their own sainted figure speaks from inside her own city and describes a nightmare that sounds exactly like the kind of social decay Duterte warned about.
This is why ordinary Filipinos got tired of their hypocrisy. They wanted to debate drugs from air-conditioned moral distance while communities had to live with pushers, police assets, barangay-level corruption, and students being exposed to the trade. They turned the issue into a purity test because they never had to carry the fear of a mother whose child walks past a known drug personality every day.

Saw this post from Antonette Aquino on Facebook - sharing it here. This is what she said:
No, I did not leave the aircon running 24/7.
My Meralco bill came in at ₱9,791.78. So let me break it down because nobody else will.
Generation charge alone is ₱5,266.66. That’s 54% of my entire bill. Meralco’s actual cut? ₱1,730.98. And that number hasn’t moved since 2022. What keeps going up is everything sitting on top of it.
Here’s what’s actually eating your money:
System Loss — ₱486.83
You are paying for stolen electricity. Illegal connections, meter tampering, jumpers. Republic Act 7832 lets Meralco pass the cost of electricity theft straight to paying customers.
Universal Charges — ₱201.96
Part of this goes toward paying off the National Power Corporation’s debts. Old debts. From decisions made before most of us were even working.
Government Taxes — ₱989.81
The 12% VAT is not just on what you consumed. It’s stacked on top of every other charge, including the subsidies you’re already paying for. So yes, you are paying tax on stolen electricity. Tax on an old government debt. Tax on a subsidy you do not even benefit from.
FiT-All and GEA-All — ₱149.59 combined
Two separate renewable energy levies running at the same time. The second one was quietly added to bills in February 2026. Both government-mandated. Neither one is optional.
FYI..none of this is illegal. It’s all backed by law. But legal and fair are not the same thing.
The middle class does not steal electricity. We do not qualify for lifeline rates. We do not get 4Ps. We just pay full VAT, fund everyone else’s discounts, and absorb costs that should never have been ours to begin with. Every month. Without relief.
What actually needs to change:
1. Reform the generation charge. One line item cannot be more than half your bill and go unchallenged.
2. Stop passing system loss to consumers. Other countries make the utility absorb it. We should demand the same.
3. Move faster on renewables. Lower generation costs long-term. That transition is already overdue.

Bu, tahakkümü reddetme (nefy-i sulte) ilkesine dayanmaktadır.
