Why can’t I watch Team USA-Team UK before the Spain-Russia game begins? It worked out well yesterday! Now I have to choose between my two World Cups.

USNT Captain Augustine Monroe is out for the remainder of @QuidditchWC2018 after sustaining a shoulder injury in the U.S.’s win over Australia.

Almost a flawless performance from Team USA on offense and defense, chaser and beater game. Well-deserved victory for the players and coach Michael Parada. Made the right substitutions. MVPs of the game were Archibald and Johnson.

Osmond misses dunk and then converts mid-range shot, but Arends to Hield to put the game back out of snitch range! No good snitch catch by Trudeau. 70-30 USA

Travis and Havlin seeker beating. Greenhouse getting time alone with the snitch. Great block by Travis with the bludger at the hoops to maintain 40-point lead. The much maligned hoop defense from two years ago is stepping up today against Australia. 60-20 USA.

Snitch on pitch. Mayling loops around the hoops, but Archibald intercepts a pass across the hoops. Greenhouse seeking. Australia defensive seeking. 60-20 USA

Johnson and Fields back into the game. Johnson wins a loose quaffle back to the USA by throwing a bludger and Archibald collects and drives through Australian defense to go out of snitch range! Gotta hold or extend this lead. 60-20 USA.

Havlin and Xu back into the game. Osmond misses shot. Australia not getting many players involved on offense, which is a big credit to the American defense. 50-20 USA.
