@RadioFreeTom GOP is making more and more abundantly clear that America needs a de-Trumpification on the scale of the de-Nazification and de-Baathification efforts that was undertaken in Germany after WW II and Iraq after Saddam.
@Reuters The rest should be asked by the media: "Do you feel safe to vote yes? Blink three times in quick succession if you do not feel safe to answer this question."
@newrepublic@NickA_Martin Insurrectionists believed that "law and order" did not apply to them. The rude awakening will come when they are charged, convicted, and sent to prison. They will lose their right to vote and should be placed on the no-fly list for participating in terrorism.
The collective Republican tantrum over metal detectors reveals their performative allegiance to "law and order" is about making rules for other people—never themselves, writes @NickA_Martin. https://t.co/ALWznzAvj9
@RadioFreeTom So many his fellow students and even teachers were egging him on. Rumor is that a teacher (or more) were giving him hints on where to best set the fire.
Kevin McCarthy, the top House Republican, just admitted, "the President bears responsibility for Wednesday's attack on Congress by mob rioters."
I don't see how you acknowledge what he is saying right now and vote against impeachment. I couldn't square that with my conscience.
@nprpolitics No matter. Once the impeachment process begins, it should have to run its full course, regardless if Trump resigns or leaves as of noon on Jan 20th. This is the benchmark that America must set for itself and the world as a nation committed to democracy and rule of law.
@deirdrekwalsh @XioAxelrod There certainly were some shenanigans going on. The National Guard was on standby, but can’t do anything without the government approval. So...who delayed the support?
Meanwhile, BBC posts this. How to spot a first-time looter:
If Republicans want to heal our divisions, they should come together with Democrats to expel Trump and prevent him from running for office again.

@MollyJongFast I hope USCP has a list of every member of Congress who gave private tours in the days leading up to 1/6 along with a list of names of who were on each tour.
