'Content creators' who leave the UK claiming London is 'unsafe' while calling Dubai a crime-free utopia only see their privilege and wealth, never the stark reality...
Dubai isn’t some progressive paradise. It’s a place where women can be jailed for reporting rape, punished for pregnancy outside marriage, and trapped in abusive marriages with no legal recourse.
These 'creators' aren’t fleeing for safety, they’re fleeing tax bills. They build their wealth in the UK, then take it elsewhere to avoid contributing to the society that enabled their success. There’s nothing progressive about hoarding wealth while refusing to give back, especially when the 'utopia' they run to is built on exploited foreign labour with no rights.
US Senator Mark Kelly flew 39 combat missions over Iraq. He piloted the Space Shuttle four times. But he went to Kiev and called for the defence of Ukraine. So Elon Musk has branded him a "traitor".
That's because the British stormed the Gold and Sword beaches, with the Canadians at Juno Beach.
Almost 770 RAF Lancaster bombers took part in the bombing of Dresden.
Also, Great Britain & her Empire maintained the struggle alone (as the only major power) for a whole year.
Without this, there could be no Allied victory.
Whilst the victory was certainly dependent on all of the Big Three powers, let's not forget that Great Britain chose to fight on, rather seek an ignoble peace.
The USSR & US, in contrast, were forced into the war by Barbarossa & Pearl Harbor.
In a nutshell: Churchill, Great Britain, and her Empire, saved civilisation itself by continuing the struggle in 1940.
Do shut your mouth.
It’s been 6 weeks since Donald Trump returned to the White House.
It’s almost been too much to keep up with the sheer number of bad decisions he’s made that will make life worse for Americans.
I know it's hard to keep track, but we can't let any of this go unnoticed. 🧵
London. A meaningful and warm meeting with Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer.
During our talks, we discussed the challenges facing Ukraine and all of Europe, coordination with partners, concrete steps to strengthen Ukraine’s position, and ending the war with a just peace, along with robust security guarantees.
A principled statement of support from the Prime Minister and an important decision: today, in our presence, Ukraine and the United Kingdom signed a Loan Agreement. This loan will enhance Ukraine’s defense capabilities and will be repaid using revenues from frozen Russian assets. The funds will be directed toward weapons production in Ukraine. This is true justice – the one who started the war must be the one to pay.
I thank the people and government of the United Kingdom for their tremendous support from the very beginning of this war. We are happy to have such strategic partners and to share the same vision of what a secure future should look like for all.

Among the least likeable of human beings are bullies, and those who toady to them. Trump – Putin’s Poodle – manages to combine both: his arrogant bullying of Zelensky, in the service of his barfworthy toadying to the Russian bully.

After years of Republicans talking about “freedom,” is there ONE Republican in Congress prepared to stand with Ukraine and democracy?
Or do they ALL agree with Trump that Vladimir Putin, a blood-thirsty dictator, is our ally in this horrific war that he started.
Trump berates Zelensky, the leader of a democratic country courageously fighting Russian imperialism, while he allies himself with Putin, a dictator who started the bloodiest European war in 80 years.
Sorry, President Trump. We believe in democracy, not authoritarianism.
We are witnessing a very sad moment in American history.
The President of the United States is aligning himself with the dictator of Russia, Vladimir Putin, to undermine the independence of Ukraine and its democracy.
Here are my thoughts:
