@niallerc @amell @glennpolley Clearly the issue wasn’t time critical so they didn’t have to land immediately. Also they were at 38000 feet alongside Shannon, it would’ve taken them a while to descend flying in circles above the airport. There are engineers at Shannon but much more expensive for the company.

@amell @glennpolley Why would they go to Shannon? They have no engineering cover, and very limited options for passengers. Doesn’t seem to be a time critical issue so best to go back to LHR where they have everything to deal with it.
