My actual feelings about the 24-team with no sarcasm or trolling.
I didn't need it.
I don't particularly want it.
I don't think this is some existential crisis for the sport.
I don't think this kills the regular season. The regular season you fear you're losing has been dead for a while now.
This won't save the sport.
It won't kill the sport.
It'll change the sport. You'll adapt to it.
Then it will change again, and you'll adapt to that too.
Rewatched game this morning and I just can’t understand why Bagent is not taking WIDE OPEN short options. Loveland could have had 10 catches in this game. His eyes seemed fixed down the field but he doesn’t have the arm to make those throws. Bizarre performance.
Three bad:
• Is Bagent even the backup when Caleb returns?
• Jaylon Johnson’s decline.
• So many injuries.
Three good:
• Caleb’s morning workout; return imminent?
• Austin Booker
(They only get two today.)
This is kinda wild. Coaching staff should be reminding the QB of the situation there but you're the QB. Had all the time in the world to check the scoreboard for clock and timeout numbers before the play. Passing the buck up the chain sucks.
i think we can quite reasonably say the bears defense was out over their skis and the mask came off today. turns out all the advanced metrics that said they were very bad despite limiting scoring were right. go figure!
that’s enough tyson bagent and i’m at least glad we can finally put this exhausting and very manufactured conversation around him to bed. see you next week, caleb.
Jordan Love went deep three straight times.
Dillon Thieneman never saw that last one.
The Bears' pass rush also can't get completely washed out and be a non-factor on third-and-22 (!!!).
