@LivUniPhysio Getting healthcare workers to be more aware of their own approach to patients, sometimes therapists are naïve to the quality of their care they provide. Schwartz rounds for example are a good opportunity for therapists to discuss experiences around compassionate care #PHTY316
@LivUniPhysio 4- Supporting people to recognise and develop their own strengths and abilities to enable them to live an independent and fulfilling life. #PHTY316
@LivUniPhysio 1- Affording people dignity, compassion and respect, 2- Offering coordinated care, supported treatment, 3- Offering personalised care, support or treatment, #PHTY316
@LivUniPhysio There are a select few patients on my ward with MND, who unfortunately are very progressed. Early intervention with these patients is important because eventually they will lose the ability to communicate so discussions regarding their future care must be considered.
Tony uses a functional electrical stimulation (FES) to help correct his bilateral foot drop. This short film shows the difference of walking with & without the device. Tony walks an amazing 171% faster with it on! For more info about FES, please visit: https://t.co/H1dzvXYHOz
We are recognised as international experts in the use of Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES). FES Stimulates the nerves and activates weakened muscles to provide an aid to walking which assists with recovery and independent mobility. https://t.co/KsUAniULTh #FES
For anyone interested in squat mechanics and general conditioning, I highly recommend you check out Dr Aaron Horschig.
His videos are very informative and explained with great detail.
