@doodlestein What I love about it all is that as we progress, we're just increasingly parsing nuance.
They are very close to doing what resembles reasoning. But that's not the same as judgment. And the arguments increasingly mirror how nuance is defined. Next is judgment by whom?
@mweinbach@alexocheema Would phasing out monthly max plans in favor of API usage change your mind about it being purely hobbyist? I can see a world where Mac Studio see a rise in popularity if monthly plans are phased out or get prohibitively expensive.
Meanwhile, in Missouri, State Representative @IanMack03007724 gives one of the most powerful speeches I have ever heard.
Turn on the volume. You want this timeline cleanse.
As everyone remembers Jackie Robinson’s legacy today, don’t forget that if it wasn’t for racism, a hurt ankle and a world war, he may very well have done something that is even more mindblowing.
A thread.
The Denver program to send social workers instead of police (STAR) has responded to over 2,200 calls low-level/intox/MH calls.
They have never called for police back-up due to a safety issue.
Never.
Think about that.
THREAD 1/While I'm on the subject of Disney funding anti-gay legislators, it is important to point out that they are funding them not because they are anti-gay (they don't actually care that mch about that) but because they are "pro-business."What does it mean to be pro-business?

*Stock buybacks and dividends doubled in the last decade to $1.5 trillion a year

You have to be almost completely lacking in historical awareness to not grasp that the slave trade is the most consequential event of modern world history, 16th century to now. It established the modern world order. There is no event in US history that wasn’t shaped by slavery.
We have been taught to understand the US as a democracy that formed from Europeans fleeing persecution and overthrowing their king. The historical reality of the US forming from a series of slave colonies & a govt-sanctioned genocide against the Indigenous is largely suppressed.
