US senator calls for investigation into Starlink-related disruptions

Republican Senator Thom Tillis has called on the Pentagon’s inspector general to investigate outages that, he says, occurred in the Starshield system rather than on the Starlink or SpaceX side.

Tillis said the restrictions put Ukrainian civilians, US diplomats and security personnel at risk.

He described the incident as either a serious mistake or a possible attempt to create conditions for a Russian attack.

During our meeting, Russia launched yet another vile drone strike on Ukrainian energy infrastructure in Lutsk. There are power outages in the city.
