@taybewell@zendadddy I would just talk about the metrics you would want to track and why. Most hiring managers would understand it’s not always easy to have projects where graph go up.
@ridd_design@alexoid Tools do matter, they just matter less than junior IC's think. In most orgs, being an impactful designer is not about being proficient in Figma, and the advice usually touted to junior designers is trying to help them learn that: expert in figma ≠ successful designer.
Let's retire the idea that PMs shouldn't build wireframes.
Of course, there's no need for a PM to always wireframe features. In fact, that's an anti-pattern. But, for big features, I think it's worthwhile.
Let me explain:
I was just at Starbucks in SF ordering an iced latte. The cashier asked if I would like to "round up" my purchase to support a local non-profit.
The non-profit was OpenAI.
@staplenick Whatever the specifics are though, it’s a well documented exploit centred around the phones simple PIN number and all the things you can do on someone’s device one you have it.
@staplenick As you mentioned in your original post, they make an excuse to see your phone after befriending you, maybe to add their own contact details or something. As the phone is handed over, they lock it and ask the victim for the PIN to unlock the phone.
@staplenick Apple Pay can also be used with just the device PIN code and there is no limit to payment size. I’m sure individual banking apps work differently though. I know monzo requires your physical cards PIN number after Face ID has been changed/turned off.
