Sometimes you can make money from it, but it can be radioactive, it's dangerous to store, has military uses, you generally don't want to concentrate it too much, and it's regulated.
Why keep uranium you don't need?
Neural networks are the wrong place to start your ML journey :) I see so many people, so confused, all the time.
Instead, you want to start with models like kNN, and Decision Trees. Things you can clearly visualize, and intuitively understand.
