- You didn't apply everything in the fall

- You didn't secure phosphate values at cheaper values

Starting to see the effect of recent rain events on scab risk in the state. Susceptible wheat varieties flowering are at high risk for most of the state. Moderate susceptible varieties also at moderate to high risk in certain areas in the state.

Who woulda thought it? Corn needs potash even more than soys! And wheat almost no response. K soil test 55, very low. Elora long term PK trials.

@CodyWahlstrom Would've liked to have gotten it sprayed earlier but mother nature has not been very cooperative for spraying this year. Try to include as many effective modes of action as possible in herbicide plan. Warrant was applied with this mix along with Sulfentrazone + Metribuzin Pre.

Just because dicamba might be unavailable doesn't mean you are out of options to control waterhemp. Fomesafen + Roundup 5 DAA. Replaced crop oil with @CHSAgronomy Fixate Pro and Level Best. Got awesome control with minimal crop response.

@CodyWahlstrom Plan on checking back in a couple weeks. Wouldn't doubt if there will be a few escapes but didn't get 100% control on waterhemp with dicamba last year either.

North Valley City plot looking good!! Corn V9 and early maturity soybeans just reaching R1. Whole bunch of cool things going on in the plot this year in addition to the usual variety trials. Population X N rate trials on corn as well as population and fungicide trials on soybean.

Quick reminder of the importance of getting pre-emerge herbicide applied. Spray skip in the middle of a field. Sulfentrazone + Metribuzin 32 days after application.
