@ku1deep@appadappajappa safely for 3+ years mentioned they've never been injured or dealt with niggles/ lasting pain of some sort.
I do however think we should demonise never stepping back in the gym because your shoulder/knee etc hurts
@ku1deep@appadappajappa I dont disagree with the fact that people pushing for performance/ a goal are more likely to get injured.
But I dont think being injured should be demonised.
You just rehab, learn some more about your body and comeback stronger.
Would be v surprised if someone even lifting
@wanderingraptor@ku1deep Don't want to overload you with info but pull slack + push the floor away are two you should try to practice.
Also YouTube Alan Thrall and Brian Alsruhe and just binge all their deadlift content.
You'll be pulling 4plates before you know it :)
@wanderingraptor@ku1deep Just focus on the first rep setup tbh.
After your hands are on the bar, I would try to push the world away with your feet instead of pulling the bar up.
If you practice with lighter weights during warmups, you'll notice the bar will float an inch off the ground.
@wanderingraptor@ku1deep Taking your time to fully pull the slack out of the bar before the first rep instead of that mini jerk might be something to look into
'Why I Run' (My Vulnerable Story).
This has been a challenging video to put together. For the first time, I sit down in front of a camera and share what running means to me, in an honest sit-down. No effects, no compilations, teasers and music.
Just me, the camera, and the story of how I went from being an arthritic, overweight kid who once couldn’t open a door, to a disciplined, long-distance runner who now challenges herself with 50K+ distances.
This is not about fitness. This is about clarity. Movement. Healing.
If you're here, thank you. This one’s personal.
Be kind.
