Its hard to explain that feeling of waking up sore from your HS football game the night before, coming downstairs to the living room hearing college game day in the background and the smell of fresh pancakes being made.
Knowing for the entire day you have nothing planned but sitting in front of that TV, watching football, and feeding yourself whatever your mom decides to cook up that day.
If you didn’t live it, it’s hard to explain!
@CFBDirect In my second dynasty since the update. No recruits from South Dakota. North Dakota and Wyoming have more than they used to, but South Dakota not much.
“The Big Ten is the best league in football… We don’t run a hype machine up here in the Midwest. We believe everything’s earned, not given. And when we fall short, we say, ‘We fell short.’ We don’t cry a river and whine and complain. And that’s why we’re the best.”
Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti’s final statement at Big Ten Media Days 😳
I was a captain at Mizzou and now I can hardly watch the games.
College sports used to build men. The portal is building mercenaries that are completely disconnected from the universities they "represent". It's antithetical to what college sports have always been and what they should be.
I played four years at Mizzou. I knew who was going to be in the locker next to me every single day. Players now graduate with a group of guys they barely know. You can't build a bond in one semester.
The joy of college sports has been destroyed with the portal. I can hardly watch my own team anymore because there are almost no players who seem like real Mizzou guys. This is true across the country. I hear it from fans all the time. They're losing interest by the day. Rivalries mean nothing because none of the players have been at the schools for more than five minutes. They're not invested in the schools and the history. How could they be?
14 of the 22 starters for Indiana's title team were transfers. All 5 of Michigans starters were transfers on their title team this year. There's no continuity. It's a disaster for both the players and the fans. The coaches hate it too.
Are we all just going to sit around and let it happen? Nick Saban went to Congress to try to get this fixed. If Congress is the only way to fix it, then they need to hurry up and do it .
PAY ATTENTION WHEN YOUR TOWN KEEPS RAISING TAXES - Here is what may get their attention.😂😂
A town keeps raising taxes, so a resident shows up to speak, wearing an English lord’s wig. Instead of protesting, he sarcastically supports the increases and says, “If you can’t pay your taxes… don’t be poor.”
Why? Because the people raising the taxes don’t live like the people paying them. The town administrator, Todd Selig, has never been elected, has held his appointed job for 17 years, and makes over $300,000 a year with THREE months of paid vacation.
And if you watch these meetings, you know the pattern. Regular people come up looking for answers, maybe a little dialogue. The administrators DO sit there like an aristocratic court, silent, unmoved, barely looking up. No response. No engagement. Just a posture that says, your problems aren’t my problems… so why are you here?
The wig wasn’t the problem. The disconnect was.
𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚: This football coach has gone viral for his insanely intense training drills for his student athletes.
One of the best videos you will watch all year.
😭😭😭
Missouri is expected to hire Tennessee director of player personnel Jake Breske in a lead front office capacity, sources tell @CBSSports.
Has worked for the Vols the last five seasons.
While Auburn faces deserved scrutiny for their decision to claim 7 new natties, there also needs to be a conversation about other teams who have done the same thing in the past.
Here are some other teams with fake natties.
