@SaraEisen I think the answer may be fairly simple. Europeans are happy to work from an office as they actually take vacation time. Americans work long hours, skimp on vacation, and have generally lousy public transit (congestion!). Better to work long hours and skimp on vacation from home!

@SRuhle I’m all for sensible regulation and oversight of FI’s. Right now, the debate is whether to ensure uninsured depositors of SVB are made whole on Monday morning or soon after. If the FDIC elects to not guarantee all depositors, it risks imperiling confidence in our banking system.
