Alaska is by far one of my fav characters we read about but could she be a badrolemodel for YA 2look up2? #iwishshewastheprotagonist #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

I did like seeing women in power in Monster either as Steve's savior (obrian) or his executioner (petrocelli) #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

Love the use of tactics in LFA but are they really tactics since it doesnt seem to be any real risk? It seems the eagle allows it #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

my bias but on pg3 Idk its a good idea 2 describe cutting in such a sexual way especially when writing for teens #leavethat2theadults #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

The self-glorification in the paratext of Cut is a little much and it is clear through the cliché description of amental affliction #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

Save our women from the virgin sacrifice trope because that is Life as we Knew it not life as we know it! #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

I'm digging hard for a positive end to earthsea I'll choose to see it as real men or wizards embrace their feminine side! #dontjungme #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

Idk if ironic is the right word but Earthsea sure does like to portray its women as inferior #rewriteearthsea #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

Why couldn't Takumi find a romantic interest! He was the fucking fox, man and everyone loves foxes! #whatdoesthefoxsay #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

Kinda wish Alaska saved herself through her own volition rather than the inclination we get that pudge would through his romanticism #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

#firstworldproblems #lookingforalaska #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

The Hunger Games shows us that Certeau's concept strategy can have flaws that tactics can exploit but that also tactics could backfire #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

Is there an implicit ideology that men have to fix/save women in Peeps (I'm only a few chapters in) #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

If TheHungerGames was one book would it promote a hegemonic relationship or does it successfully promote rebellion against oppression #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

Anyone else agree that the Feed is a RSA rather than an ISA? Since it explicitly tries to distract you from going against the norm? #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

Is social media our Hunger games? Does seeing things on screen desensitized us towards others misfortunes #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

Wemight deny any homosexual connotation in Chicolate War cuzof an ideological obviousness to ignore that any male might be homosexual #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

I believe chocolate war is a good example of a text that hosts interpellation although the events seem dated the moral is timeless #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

In referring to my last post should we as adults(if at all)promote adolescents to read YALit or allow them to read whatever they want #L502

[Jacob @jacobeng502]

Are we robbing or boosting adolescents agency by reading YA novels by adults ie Speak #L502
