Walmart has long stymied attempts to unionize any part of its business.

Which is why the breakthrough union victory won by 800 workers at a Mississauga, Ontario, regional distribution center is worth closely examining. https://t.co/r5rFG6AafX

Alex Gibney’s “Musk” throws everything at the world’s first trillionaire, from an AI avatar in a gaming chair to first-person-shooter animation.

The result is a four-hour slog that exhausts even Musk haters — and preaches a defeatism that serves the Right. https://t.co/NtK2s9wz7y

People are right to want control over their homes and their futures.

Socialized housing, not private ownership, can make that promise a reality for everyone. https://t.co/s6rMNv64m7

If the Trump administration succeeds in getting their hands on pro-Palestine donor Fergie Chambers via an extradition request to Spain, it will set a dark precedent for human rights advocates of all kinds. https://t.co/O1nJTKi2Uj

More than 30 years ago, a young Susan Collins played a leading role in a battle to cut workers’ compensation that at one point led to the first government shutdown in Maine history. https://t.co/ls3dyJeomZ

The Israeli government has threatened to strip the #NAZA directors of their citizenship and prosecute them.

Their crime is making a film that confronts war guilt head on, something American culture has spent decades medicalizing out of existence. https://t.co/3jTiQD7mga

Walmart has long made a name for itself as a ruthlessly anti-union company.

It also has now signed a union contract with 800 warehouse workers in Ontario. https://t.co/r5rFG6AafX

The message of Gibney’s “Musk” is that it’s already too late to resist Elon Musk.

That kind of doomerism serves the Right and the Musk-led oligarchy very well. https://t.co/VEQPZISvOF

A century and a half after Friedrich Engels explored the housing question, socialization remains its best answer, meeting diverse housing needs and preferences while avoiding the risks and arbitrary windfalls of market-based approaches. https://t.co/s6rMNv6CbF

The Trump administration is seeking to broaden its assault on free speech across the Left.

The case against pro-Palestine donor Fergie Chambers is the latest case in point. https://t.co/O1nJTKi2Uj

As her early role in cutting benefits for injured Maine workers recalls, Collins has had a long history as a servant of the business sector. https://t.co/ls3dyJdQxr

NAZA has set off massive controversy in Israel for showing the truth about the IDF’s genocide.

When was the last time an American documentary on war crimes accomplished that? https://t.co/3jTiQD7U5I

Until this year, Walmart had not put pen to paper on a union contract in Canada or the US.

That changed at a Walmart warehouse in Ontario this spring, in a union victory that should be studied by the rest of the North American labor movement: https://t.co/r5rFG6zCqp

Everyone should have a secure home they can make their own.

A socialist society could provide that without turning homes into privately owned assets that enrich some households while leaving others behind: https://t.co/s6rMNv64m7

For the Trump administration, false allegations of terrorism are no longer necessary.

Mere human rights advocacy is enough: https://t.co/O1nJTKiAJR

In the 1990s, Susan Collins played a leading role in delivering major cuts to Maine’s workers’ compensation program.

It would be 30 years before the cuts were reversed: https://t.co/ls3dyJdQxr
