@notthefakeSVP If there are ever two segments that are acceptable to cry at, it’s the Otis OBT and Kirk’s Ben tribute. My condolences and my appreciation for your ability to put into words the beauty of dogs.
@ESPN_BillC Bill, do you still post individual game analysis (don’t remember what you called them, but had all the efficiency metrics from the game). I really enjoyed those.
@GeorgeFoster72 I went to Collins Hill (got there the year after she graduated), and I still remember them telling us she was 125-3 during her high school career with 3 state championships and a national championship.
@KevinMcAlpin But it was 5 minutes faster than that game, so you gotta keep going back. I remember being at a Tim Hudson shutout that was sub 2 hours. Can’t remember the year.
@Wes_nship@CFBHeather The logic wouldn’t change, but I don’t think the committee would have used it as a reason to leave out FSU in that scenario. Much easier to leave FSU in when you’re not facing the Bama or Texas dilemma.
@Wes_nship My take is FSU would’ve been the 4 if Georgia had won. Once Bama was an option, they were going to include Bama, but they couldn’t do that without also including Texas, hence FSU getting screwed.
@GrahamCoffeyDC@GeorgeFoster72 Unlike football, the best teams in baseball win 65% of their games, and the worst teams win 30%. When there’s that little difference, it takes more games to determine the better teams. The problem is the playoffs are so short relative to the regular season, you get random results
@CAEZMEH@timbhealey I mean, yeah. That’s basically all baseball playoffs are. Who gets hot at the right time. The goal is to be consistently good so that you make the playoffs every year and give yourself the chance to be that team that gets hot. How often does the best team win the World Series?
@JustinCToscano I thought we screwed up watching it live, but on second look the left fielder just made a really nice play to throw an off-balance, semi-blind strike to the cutoff man. Wash threw up the stop sign when he saw the throw, and just happened to be too late.
