CoTec (TSXV: CTH) CEO Julian Treger says HyProMag USA's Texas Hub is moving from concept to reality. Long-lead equipment is being ordered, commissioning is targeted for H2 2027, and the plan calls for up to 10 hubs supplying 25 percent of US rare earth magnet demand. Read more: CoTec Holdings Corp. ๐ฌ๐ง THEY TOLD YOU A STORY. ๐ฌ๐ง
Colonisers. Slavers. Oppressors. And you were supposed to feel ashamed.
Not for what you done... But for WHO YOU ARE. ๐ฌ๐ง
So we tested it. Britain wrote everything down, so we opened the books. ๐
Turns out fewer than 1 man in 10 could vote in the year Britain banned the slave trade. No woman could. Your ancestors could hang for stealing a sheep, get shipped across the world for petty theft, or go down a mine at 8 years old. In Manchester, the average age of death in a labouring family was 17.
They weren't running the slave trade. They were underneath it too.
Which is what makes what happened next worth knowing.
In 1772 an enslaved man named James Somerset walked free from an English court, because English law couldn't hold a slave.
In 1791, 300,000 families just stopped buying slave sugar. No march, no riot, just a decision made at 300,000 kitchen tables.
In 1792, 519 petitions carrying 390,000 names hit Parliament, most signed by people who couldn't vote themselves.
In 1807, Britain banned the trade.
Then the slave owners sent Britain a bill for the 800,000 people they still held. ๐ท ยฃ20 million. About 40% of the entire government budget at the time.
The Treasury says it wasn't paid off until 2015. So if your family paid British tax before then, they helped buy 800,000 people their freedom.
From 1808 the Royal Navy spent 60 years hunting slave ships at sea: 1,600 stopped, 150,000 people freed, and 1,600 British sailors dead, mostly of disease, buried thousands of miles from home. โ
In 1816 they ended two centuries of Barbary corsairs enslaving Europeans.
In 1896 a war that lasted 38 minutes ended slavery in Zanzibar. ๐น๐ฟ
Almost every country on Earth outlaws slavery today.
That fight was paid for largely at British expense, by British hands.๐ฌ๐ง
So why haven't you heard any of this?
Because within living memory, someone rewrote the story. You got taught the crime. Not the cure.
The powerful exploited the world. They exploited their own people first. It was those people who ended slavery. ๐ฌ๐ง
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
History got rewritten once, in living memory, by no one who was ever named or held to account.
We are ordinary people doing what ordinary people have always done. Opening the books. Refusing to look away.
This is how we fight back. Fact by fact. Story by story. Name by name.
We are the home of British heroes. There is a place for you in it.

If anyone didnโt understand or was initially underwhelmed by the #AVCT update this morning, you *must* watch the video. Todayโs update is in fact really important and potentially platform-making. I increasingly think Avacta is going all the way
Just to remind these same folk:
Youโve not lifted 1/2m kids out of poverty. Youโve just moved them over a bureaucratic line on a Whitehall spreadsheet.
Your โworkers rightsโ are destroying entry-level jobs, hitting young people disproportionately, where unemployment is now over 16%.
You have not transformed the NHS. Itโs still the same old wheezing leviathan, just with a lot more dosh and still dismal productivity.
And youโve nationalised steel and rail before. It was not the prelude to an economic or industrial miracle. Plus you will now have to include their demands for capital/subsidies among all the other priorities already crowding in on the public purse.
Other than that your reminder was useful. Thank you.

โป๏ธ๐งฒ HyProMag just crossed the line from research project to commercial manufacturer. Two facilities. Two countries. One process. And it's running now.
MagNews 2026 #1 documents the full picture โ and the detail matters.
๐ฌ๐ง Tyseley Energy Park, Birmingham โ ONLINE:
The first commercial HPMS reactor is commissioned and producing. Since January 2026:
๐น 9+ tonnes of recycled NdFeB alloy powder produced at industrial volume โ not pilot scale
๐น 7+ tonnes already shipped to customers for qualification
๐น Automated HDD pre-processing line (supplied by Inserma Anoia S.L.) now running as a continuous flow line, not batch
๐น Siemens AG integrating HyProMag recycled magnets into a SIMOTICS servomotor rotor โ demonstrated at Hannover Messe 2026 ๐ญ
๐น 3,500+ commercial-grade magnets produced from HPMS powder, with recycled content exceeding 95% and performance variability now at primary-source levels
๐ฉ๐ช Pforzheim, Germany โ OPEN:
The German facility held its official opening with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs in April 2026. Pforzheim is engineered as a near mirror of the UK system โ process equivalence by design, so OEMs can qualify a single recycled magnet specification and source it from multiple locations. That's a supply chain resilience argument, not just a capacity argument.
The HPMS technology itself keeps improving:
๐ธ Validated on 18+ types of HDD magnets and multiple classes of motor rotors
๐ธ Powder conditioning optimised to reduce oxygen-rich grain boundary phases โ higher grade sintered magnets than typical short-loop routes can achieve
๐ธ More precise hydrogen absorption kinetics enabling decrepitation of magnets embedded in laminated steel rotors without damaging surrounding components
The roadmap from here:
๐ Phase 1: 100โ350 tpa (current, UK)
๐ Phase 2: up to 1,000 tpa (supported by DRIVE35 feasibility programme)
๐ Phase 3: USA โ 2027 ๐ฆ
HyProMag is positioning as one of the first companies capable of delivering commercial-scale, short-loop NdFeB magnet recycling across multiple regions โ UK, Germany, then US โ with a single validated process. In a world where qualifying a new magnet supplier takes years and millions, that multi-site equivalence is genuinely strategic. ๐
In memory of Emeritus Professor Ivor Rex Harris โ whose 40 years of University of Birmingham research made all of this possible. ๐

Another major tailwind for ex-China rare earths stocks, and some nice spikes in the pre-market for $MP $USAR $CRML etc.
#MKA lists its upstream subsidiary, $MKAR, on NASDAQ shortly (I believe it'll be before end July) at a valuation of 77.5p per share equivalent. At 43.5p, Mkango is currently trading at a 44% discount to that listing price.
Even following a +78% move required to bring MKA in line with the MKAR listing price, MKA's magnet recycling / remanufacturing business will still be valued at zero.
Very shortly, I believe we will be hearing from HyProMag USA about securing financing for its first plant in Texas, commencement of construction, and possibly details on a proposed NASDAQ listing (vis SPAC merger).
That second NASDAQ listing could add a further >77.5p per share as as a liquid asset to MKA's balance sheet.
The age of AI, robotics and the budding space industry will drive a monumental step change in demand for NdFeB magnets - regardless of geopolitical developments (which, to reiterate, are presently adding significant further tailwinds for ex-China NdFeB suppliers).
Low-cost recycling / remanufacturing of these magnets on a global scale will be a requisite for fueling those aforementioned hyper-growth industries.
Step forward, HyProMag.
Youโre the energy secretary. Yet you donโt seem to know that BPโs โexcess profitsโ come from its global oil trading division, which is not subject to UK โexcess profitsโ windfall tax, not from its North Sea activities, which are. Remarkable.
@dwillis_fx@bennyson14 Bennyson comments under the name katstrangler on the LSE board and spams the same BS. Theyโre a trader / scalper who talks the stock down whenever theyโve exited and want a lower entry price, thinking it makes a difference. Best to ignore #MKA
