If you're a pastor or church leader this is for YOU.
Right now we're at a crossroads in the Western world.
Secularism is on the rise.
But opportunities to share the gospel have never been greater...
An Introspective Bo Nix:
"I know that tomorrow the sun will come up, and the Lord will be sitting on the throne. There's more to life than college football. I'm going to enjoy my time with my teammates. As crazy as it sounds, I'm going to enjoy this plane ride home with the guys because I've had many before, but I don't know how many more I have."
Things often come down to a few big plays and some luck. BUT. I watch football every Saturday and I’m more convinced now than ever this season that we can win a title 🦆
Call me crazy, but if you are in a small church (and 70% of churches are), and don't really have great tech, you probably shouldn't livestream worship.
Start a podcast. Post sermons, and share stories. It'll do a better job of what you actually think your livestream is doing.
The day of “build it and they will come” has ended. The day of “show me how to follow Jesus” has come. Somewhere along the line the gathering became the goal and not the vehicle of celebration for effective discipleship.
Pastors must always be authentic, but not always transparent
Authenticity = people experiencing the TRUE you — required in every interaction
Transparency = people experiencing the FULL you — only given when appropriate & wise
Inauthenticity or over-transparency are dangerous
