Is horrible that staff from World Central Kitchen (WCK) were killed in Gaza.
But two things two bear in mind:
1. Israel never targets civilians; and
2. We know that Hamas does use civilians as human shields and has repeatedly killed civilians in Gaza, only to blame Israel.
War is tragic
People die
I am not here to suggest otherwise.
Whatever the actual cause of the death of the aid workers - and we need to wait on that - seeing Hamas parade bodies around as if they are trophies is sickening.
Every death in this conflict is on Hamas.

Only kidding. Obviously, the people mentioned in the above tweets aren't women at all, but men, every last one of them.
In passing the Scottish Hate Crime Act, Scottish lawmakers seem to have placed higher value on the feelings of men performing their idea of femaleness, however misogynistically or opportunistically, than on the rights and freedoms of actual women and girls. The new legislation is wide open to abuse by activists who wish to silence those of us speaking out about the dangers of eliminating women's and girls’ single-sex spaces, the nonsense made of crime data if violent and sexual assaults committed by men are recorded as female crimes, the grotesque unfairness of allowing males to compete in female sports, the injustice of women’s jobs, honours and opportunities being taken by trans-identified men, and the reality and immutability of biological sex.
For several years now, Scottish women have been pressured by their government and members of the police force to deny the evidence of their eyes and ears, repudiate biological facts and embrace a neo-religious concept of gender that is unprovable and untestable. The re-definition of 'woman' to include every man who declares himself one has already had serious consequences for women's and girls’ rights and safety in Scotland, with the strongest impact felt, as ever, by the most vulnerable, including female prisoners and rape survivors.
It is impossible to accurately describe or tackle the reality of violence and sexual violence committed against women and girls, or address the current assault on women’s and girls’ rights, unless we are allowed to call a man a man. Freedom of speech and belief are at an end in Scotland if the accurate description of biological sex is deemed criminal.
I'm currently out of the country, but if what I've written here qualifies as an offence under the terms of the new act, I look forward to being arrested when I return to the birthplace of the Scottish Enlightenment.

“My name is Samer Barham, I am an Arab speaking Israeli Christian. I am proud to belong to the Israel Defense Forces and to be a citizen of the State of Israel. I have no other homeland.
At the moment I am fighting next to my Jewish brothers and together, shoulder to shoulder, we defend our country, fighting for the sake of the Land of Israel. We will win this war and, Lord’s Willing, bring the hostages home safely.

@elonmusk is amplifying hate. IT IS NOT OK. Action must be taken 👉 By affirming an antisemitic trope, Elon Musk sinks to a dangerous new low https://t.co/UVNdxpVDrY
@DurrutiRiot You coward - hiding behind a pseudonym with your bile and disgusting hate. You write this stuff then be transparent about who you are. You won't dare because you are a hate filled Coward
Feeling sick with worry for the people I've met over the years in Israeli kibbutzim on the Gaza border. These communities are idealistic, leftwing, cling to a hope for peace despite their dangerous location. Residents are being murdered & kidnapped by Hamas. It's heartbreaking
Liverpool Football Club acknowledges PGMOL’s admission of their failures last night.
It is clear that the correct application of the laws of the game did not occur, resulting in sporting integrity being undermined.
#LFC have made a formal request to PGMOL to receive the audio between referee Simon Hooper and VAR Darren England during the process that led to Luis Diaz's goal being wrongly disallowed.

Spurs v Liverpool: As a Spurs fan, I have to say that Liverpool have a very good case to argue. Clearly their goal should have been allowed. The ramifications of that mistake could cost Liverpool at the end of the season. @LFC
Something has shifted in the public mood regarding refugees. I've been tweeting about refugees for many years but never before received such an upswell of sympathy, and near universal condemnation of the government's callous approach. Thank U to everyone for your positive tweets!
This is an awful and shocking episode, where there was no criminality, but perhaps a complicated private life. That doesn’t feel very private now. I hope that will give some cause to reflect. They really need to. I wish @thehuwedwards well.
This is an awful situation & will come as a big shock to many.
Huw Edwards is clearly not in a good place at the moment and this must be terrible for his family.
I just hope that whoever needs help - on all sides of this - gets the time, space & support they need to heal.
In 1999, I interviewed Huw Edwards for a newspaper for young people at BBC Television Centre. It’s 24 years on, but my memory is that he was friendly, kind and generous with his time when I’m sure he had better things to do.
It’s hard not to feel incredibly sad for all those involved in what’s happened, and increasingly angry that what appears to be incredibly private turmoil has played out on the front pages and in the sewers that social media makes too easy to access.
There are serious questions - for us all.
