Gary Sheffield belongs in Cooperstown.

Lumping all PED users together is not fair, their cases are very different. He testified under oath that he only used the cream/clear briefly and without knowing what they were.

Sheffield had a long and consistent career that supports that claim, we need to stop lumping him in with Bonds, Clemens, etc.

@ATCNY This seems like a lot of projection. Hard to see how this team, with in their prime superstars in Soto & Lindor & all of those massive upside SPs they've hoarded wasting 2 years losing. To me, it's a reboot. Fully expect them to sign at least 1 premier FA & make a run in 2026.

@TheWARmonger_ Generally speaking it does seem unwise to pay big $$$ for 1B. A good rule of thumb, since power w/o a glove can be found by a competent F.O. That said. a 1B who either puts up elite ratios re: McGwire or who posts up every day & lands at 30+ homers demands an exception.

@StratOMatic Pages a 3, Mookie a 2, wondering how much of a bump the pitching will get to ensure LA sims well enough to win consistently, because these range factors seem sketchy at best based on the various metrics.
