My immediate thought was a B2B product for factories or government installations with security requirements that are more easily satisfied with on-premises compute. Not sure how big that market is but I know of a couple applications where this would be an ideal product. Especially if it was swapable after 5 years for better hardware on a subscription basis.

Think every government contractor on every government installation or every major factory or refinery. But again, not sure if it is worth it for Tesla to sell to such a market or if capacity is better spent maximizing existing power capacity at superchargers.

Interesting. The prevailing opinion circa 2006 was that the roles were reversed.
